Call for papers on the topic of “COLLECTIONS” for the 13th triennial NORDIK Conference of Art History in the Nordic Countries, 24.-28.10. 2022 (virtual via zoom) is open now!


The main activities of NORDIK is to arrange a conference every three years. The conference location rotates between the Scandinavian countries and is arranged in cooperation between the NORDIK board and representatives of the national associations for art history. The conference theme is generally connected to Scandinavia and current developments in the field of art history.

Everyone with an interest in Scandinavian art and art history can be a member of NORDIK. The membership is free, and gives the members access to information about the associations’ activities as well as the right to participate in the general assemblies. To apply for membership, please fill in the short form below. There you will be asked to give your full name, nationality and city of residence for the membership registry. Once the form is submitted, you will be added to the NORDIK membership registry which serves as the associations e-mail list as well.

NORDIK is registered as an association in Finland and therefore follows the Finnish legislation for associations. For details on how the association is run, please see the “regulations” section!
